We are a dynamic and creative Hub run by several experienced, open-minded professionals and academics who are recognized as consultants and mentors in the marketing of financial technologies. Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub is an innovative business project designed by Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Faculty of Université libre de Bruxelles, which was established in 1903 with a century-old tradition of excellence in higher and executive education.

What we do?

Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub provides a series of interactive trainings aimed at helping fintech companies to boost their visibility on the market and their credibility among customers; together, we want to tackle the most challenging scenarios while finding concrete solutions to your problems through the application of marketing strategies and tactics; the training sessions are dedicated to young and experienced fintech entrepreneurs who seek to upgrade their marketing skills especially in the digital area; on top of this, we offer extra services such as private consultancies in order to generate personalized fintech marketing solutions to your problems.
We dare to become a recognized World-Class FinTech Marketing Lab, a trusted center of inspiration and knowledge in the marketing of financial technologies. Our scope is to gather, (re)create and spread valuable information and innovative ideas regarding the application of marketing strategies in fintech and performed through technology-based processes. We are open to build valuable connections with SMEs and big fintech institutions across the world. We are flexible in forming long-term partnerships and enthusiastic in creating exciting collaborations over the next years.

Jean-Pierre Baeyens
Jean-Pierre BaeyensFounder of Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub
Jean-Pierre Baeyens is Professor of Business Administration at Université Libre de Bruxelles, where he holds the Chair of Marketing at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and the Ecole Polytechnique. His specializations are strategic and international marketing management, being the holder of an MBA from the Harvard Business School. In addition to his teaching experience, Jean-Pierre Baeyens has been practicing marketing both as a manager and consultant.
Stéphane Paulus
Stéphane PaulusProject Manager at Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub
Stéphane Paulus is the Managing Director of his own consulting company SHWP Consulting SPRL. He is considered Top Level Senior Manager, ICT, and Finance Expert in Multinational Environments, being able to offer 35 years of success in finance and ICT Management, in restructuring and offshoring. In addition to his professional experience, Stéphane is Lecturer at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, following programs in Brussels and Vietnam (ULB) in Financial and Management Accounting.
Xavier Clabots
Xavier ClabotsTrainer at Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub
Xavier Clabots is an experienced Marketeer in Product, Project and Process Management. He started his career as a Marketing Consultant at the House of Marketing and now is working as Senior Manager at bpost, Head of Scanning Solutions.
Xavier has developed a strong expertise in the marketing of postal and financial services (management of bpaid, the MasterCard® prepaid card launched by bpost). He is teaching at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management since 2010. He is also lecturer in the Master in Marketing & Communication of the Solvay Brussels School Vietnam.
Carmela Milano
Carmela MilanoTutor Researcher at Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub
Carmela Milano is a Teaching Assistant in the Marketing Department at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Ph.D. Student in Management Sciences at Centre Emile Bernheim – Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. She is a cultural researcher affiliated to the ARTketing – Centre of Arts and Cultural Management in Brussels.
Andreea Udrea
Andreea UdreaMarketing & Communication Coordinator at Solvay FinTech Marketing Hub
Andreea is currently studying at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, following a Master programme in Communication Studies – New Media & Society in Europe.
She worked in several institutions over the last two years and a half, such as the Centre for Creative Leadership (executive education), European Association for Viewers’ Interests (media education) and at the Council of the European Chemical Industry in the Research & Innovation Department. Her main task within these organisations was conducting marketing and communication activities for both internal and European projects.
